With it’s mix of media satire and all out zaniness, we were sold on Jed McPherson’s reality TV gone wrong, The Show, from the minute we saw it’s outlandish cover. It reminded us of everything from the Truman Show to Korean movie Oldboy, with it’s concept based around a man being locked in a room, then filmed for a twisted TV show while being tormenting by a lunatic producer. It’s a brilliantly outrageous series, with some really ‘out there’ concepts and ideas, and was definitely a comic that signalled out Jed as being a writer destined for great things (he followed up The Show with the equally fantastic Transmissions.)
With the series having come to a mind bending conclusion, Jed has now collected all four issues together into one awesome package – The Show The Complete Collection. This is a series which definitely benefits from being read in one chunk and so be sure to back it today.
