The Seven Sagas of Silverbeard is just the kind of small press comic we love! It’s packed full of inventive story telling, crazy concepts and some truly incredible art! Plus, who doesn’t want to read a book about pirate gorillas and demonic jaguars?! This looks set to be a future classic!

We were immediately drawn into the world of Pete Taylor and Mark Hughes’s amazing looking The Seven Sagas of Silverbeard thanks to it’s jaw-dropping cover, and it’s mix of throwback stretch goals and adverts. The tale of an all powerful gorilla god battling enemies across time allows Mark and Pete to put their simian hero into a fantastic variety of places and perils and should make for a really interesting series, with plenty of scope for artist Mark to really cut loose.
