It’s exciting times for the Digital Comic of the Year 2013, as Aces Weekly volume 10 is unveiled via the Aces Weekly website and publisher David Lloyd tells us that they will also be debuting on ComiXology with all 10 volumes set to be released over the coming months.
Unveiled this week Aces Weekly volume 10 features the bizarre Dark Utopia by Mark Montague; Dungeons & Burglars by Rodolfo Santullo with art by Jok, translated by Magnus; Parassassin by Jasper Bark, Alfa Robbi, Yel Zamor and Bolt 01; Slash Moron by Jim Hansen, John Burns and Bambos Georgiou: and Batton Lash’s The First Gentleman of the Apocalypse, returning for another seven-weeks of episodes.
Aces Weekly publisher David Lloyd told us that reaching volume 10 is “a milestone we’re extremely grateful to you to have reached”. However perhaps even more exciting is the news that Aces Weekly is set to debut on the world’s largest digital comics platform ComiXology. Back volumes will be offered for sale every month, starting with Volume One and is a great way for fans who are new to Ace’s unique charm to discover it’s brilliance in a familiar context.
David Lloyd and the Aces Weekly team are celebrating this milestone with their first in-store signing event at Orbital Comics, Grt Newport St, London, Wednesday, May 7 from 5-7pm. On hand will be publisher David Lloyd, Dave Hine (Cowboys and Insects), Chris Geary, (the creator of short event bio on Bleriot in Aces), Steve Marchant (Stupidface), Mark Montague (the man behind the darkly weird, satirical, and beautifully painted, Dark Utopia) and more!
