Support indie comics at the Bristol Comic and Zine Fair this October
For comic fans in the south west of the UK, the Bristol Comic and Zine Fair returns to the city for a fourth year this October. Celebrating the world of DIY and independent publishing the BCZF brings together artists, writers, and self-publishers from across Bristol and further afield for a one-day market. There’ll be comics, zines, independent magazines, prints, handmade art objects and more on sale throughout the day, direct from the artists.
This year the fair will also host a pop-up zine shop selling books, zines and merchandise from a range of creators and groups, including Bristol-based comics collective, Bear Pit Zine.
BCZF was established in 2011 to give artists interested in self-publishing a chance to sell their work and to invite new audiences to see what the UK’s vibrant DIY arts scene is up to. From its humble beginnings in a Bristol bar, BCZF 2014 will showcase the work of over 60 artists.
BCZF 2014 returns to The Station, Broadmead, a city-centre space run by The Creative Youth Network to provide a place for young people to meet, develop their talent, and get advice and support.
BCZF 2014 will be held on Saturday 4th October at The Station, Bristol 12 – 6pm. FREE ENTRY for more information visit their website bristolcomicandzinefair.wordpress.com and follow them on twitter @zinescomics
