Back in February we were lucky enough to take part in the amazing True Believers Comic Festival (our first time behind a table and one of our favourite events in the convention calendar!). Well in just a few weeks on Sunday August 20th, Stuart Mulrain and his team of believers will be running another event, this time in Gloucester’s Blackfriar’s Priory – so here’s what you can look forward to at the True Believers Summer Variant Edition!

Like the main True Believers event – but smaller and in the summer – the TBCF Summer Variant Edition brings you more of the comic centric stuff you love, all in the stunning setting of a medieval priory.  Small Press comic creators on the day include Heart of Time/NPC-Tea‘s Sarah Millman, Midnight Man’s Andy Bloor, Slang Pictorial’s Nick Prolix, creators of the amazing Stranski art book The Etherington Brothers, the wonderful Steve Tanner of Timebomb Comics with Flintlock, Beyond The Bunker with the fantastic Moon, plusThe Inheretic, The King Legacy Team and Owen Watts and The Psychedelic Journal. Oh, and last but by no means least, us with a brand new issue of The Pull List!

As well as all that small press goodness, they will also have tables selling back issue comics, artists, tabletop games and more.  There will also be a great selection of panels (including the team behind King Legacy taking part in their first ever panel) & workshops, cosplay and a first ever Draw Something Sunday Jam Piece which will be open to everyone to take part in and add a drawing to.  They will also be revealing the cover art for the True Believers 2018 Charity Comic Tales From Beyond Infinity at the event as well.

Tickets are just £5 each with children aged 12 and under getting in for free.  At least £1 from every ticket sold will go to the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, so not only are you buying your ticket for an awesome comic day out, but you’re also helping raise some money for an awesome cause too!
