Not content with just offering new features like Subscriptions and Bundles for it’s web users, today ComiXology have announced two great new features for it’s Comics iPad and iPhone app – ‘fit-to-width’ and ‘two-page view’, both are available for free from today, by simply updating your existing Comics app or downloading it for free here.

Fit to width
When you hold your device in landscape, each page will fit to your device screen width. That means more space for comic book details, and an even better reading experience! Simply enable this feature in the reading setting.

Two-page view
Tired of missing out on stunning double page images in your favourite digital comics? Well for iPad users—in landscape mode, you can now read two pages side by side! Covers and other certain pages can still be shown in single view. Simply enable this feature in the reading setting. Check it out today!

Both features look like they could really add to the Comics use-ability experience, especially two page view, which means digital comics creators are no longer forced to restrict their work to single pages if they want the maximum impact. However you have to ask why such a basic feature as two page view wasn’t included in an early version.
