Events: South London Comic and Zine Fair (SLCZF)
Hot on the heels of ELCAF, comes another new comics and zines fair based in the capital. The South London Comic and Zine Fair (SLCZF) is set to take place at Stanley Halls South Norwood on the 15th July and will again shine a light on the London based self & micro publishing community with a selection of fantastic creators showcasing their wares!Founder Gareth Brookes tells us: “There will be over 30 artists and independent publishers selling their publications on the day, including local hero’s such as children’s cartoonist Gary Northfeild, illustrator Cat Sims, micro publisher Avery Hill and artist and activist Darren Cullen.
Other stalls include OOMK zine, Centrala, Broken Frontier, Clod Magazine, Danny Noble, Breakdown Press and Foxhole Zine. There will also be a communal table, open to budding comics creators and zinesters to leave their work to be sold free of charge.”
They have a packed line up with guests including: Gary Northfield, Matthew Swan, Centrala Books, Kim Clements, Douglas Noble, Richy K Chandler, Wallis Eates, Sean Azzopardi, Avery Hill, John Riordan, Breakdown Press, Emily Gilbert, Theresa Ferreiro, Andy Poyiadgi, Foxhole Zine, Broken Frontier, Katriona Chapman, Tiny Pencil, Owen D Pomery, Tim Bird, Darren Cullen, Danny Noble, Save Our Souls, Emma Raby, Good Comics, Emix Regulus, Mark Pawson, Elizabeth Querstret, Oomk Zine, Monsters Emporium Press, Nathan Cowdry, Cat Sims, King Louies Lab, Clod Magazine, Paul Ashley Brown, Otto Press, Dalston Comics Club, Joe Decie, Lizzy Stewart
The fair will be open from 12 noon to 6pm. There will be a kids drawing area and a bar open all day.
