Judge Anderson Psi DivisionIDW Publishing’s latest offering from Mega City One is a new on-going series for a 2000AD fan favourite in Judge Dredd, Anderson PSI Division #1 which, like Judge Dredd: Year One, follows Anderson’s early days of law enforcement. However, do the creative team do her character justice? Or is it just a crock of stomm?

This week’s must-read digital comics include three slices of sci-fi from different points on the spectrum. On the dark side are the official Dredd movie sequel comic book Judge Dredd: Underbelly and Joshua Hale Fialkov and Joe Infurnari’s dystopian time-travel series The Bunker and on the shinier side is Uproar Comics new sci-fi graphic novel Leap!

This January, duty calls Judge Dredd to the West Coast, in the destructive new miniseries Mega-City Two: City of Courts! After entering a partnership with Rebellion/2000 AD, IDW has explored Dredd’s past in Year One, and taken him “Into the Cursed Earth” in his ongoing title, but with a truly unique creative team on Mega-City Two, Dredd will go up against the unfamiliar and depraved like never before!

Looking for a bit of Judge Dredd action or Mega City One mayhem on your iPad and iPhone this weekend? Well 2000AD/Rebellion have released some of the very greatest Dredd collections of all time onto their Newsstand App which include twenty stand-alone Judge Dredd graphic novels for iPad and iPhone, some of which have been unavailable outside of the UK until now.

This November the 3rd annual Thought Bubble Convention will happen in Leeds in the UK. To celebrate this year’s events the organisers have teamed up with Image Comics to produce The Thought Bubble Anthology digital comic, a collection of exclusive comics from some of the conventions attendees as well as some of the best of the UK comics scene. It’s available digitally via ComiXology now for £2.49 or $3.99 with all proceeds going to UK Children’s charity Banardo’s.

Judge Dredd goes digital this weekend as  2000AD have released 20 volumes of the best-selling Judge Dredd Complete Case Files graphic novel series on their iOS app (available to download here) and we’ve got a fantastic 20-page Judge Dredd digital preview for you to download.

It’s an eventful week in the world of Mega City One and it’s most famous vehicle of the law. Not only is this week’s 2000 AD a milestone issue and a fantastic jumping on point for new readers, but there’s a fantastic new creator owned series ‘Ordinary’ from Rob Williams and D’Israeli debuting in Judge Dredd’s Megazine #340 as well as a comic book sequel of the Dredd movie. But this Wednesday the 18th September is s also a day of action for fans of the recent Dredd movie who are attempting to get the movie a sequel with an international day of action. It’s never been a better time to be a digital Dredd fan!
