Today DC Comics have anounced the arrival of the second year of hit digital first series with Injustice Year Two. Not only is it arriving on ComiXology and in print, but on the Madefire app – and what’s even better it’s appearing on Madefire and ComiXology at the same time – a true digital first title!

Based on the hit iOS game, the first part of Injustice: Gods Among Us has been released as both a digital and print comic, as well as most recently a ground breaking motion book via the Madefire platform. Since the first chapter debuted  a year ago, Injustice has sold more than 1.9 million print and digital comics, with the vast majority being digital downloads, according to DC, which truly goes to show that digital comics are a force to be reckoned with!

Set in an alternative time line where Superman has become a tyrannical overlord and Batman a vengeful freedom fighter, the first series ended with a major event that will have repercussions on this series, but because it is not in the regular DC timeline we are assured that event will be permanent. Having seen the first issue published on Madefire, the prospect of new DC titles being launch in this format is a highly exciting one for fans of digital comics and motion books alike.
