Along with Dark Matter, which we reviewed earlier in the week, one of the most exciting has to be Comichaus – The British Independent Monthly, which collects serials and one off’s from a batch of very talented creators and presenting them in a well polished, high end product.

COMICHAUS FRONT COVERWith a successful Kickstarter campaign completed, Comichaus (a new online indie comic book database), is set to release its own monthly anthology filled with amazing action and adventure from some of the UK’s most exciting small press creators. We were given a sneak peak at this dynamite new issue, including an exclusive first look at the cover by 2000 AD legend Glenn Fabry!

Comichaus #2 coverWe love a good indie anthology, and one of the collections which is getting us most excited at the moment is the Comichaus Monthly Anthology which is currently being Kickstarted. Produced by Pete Genepool and Jim McCulloch, the brains behind the online indie comic store of the same name, Comichaus collects together exclusive stories from some of the UK indie scenes most exciting names into a new ongoing monthly black and white series.

kickstarter_of_the_weekIt’s a great time for indie comics anthologies, and joining the like of Papercuts & Inkstains and 100% Biodegradable is Comichaus, a new monthly British comics anthology, prroduced by the team at Comichaus, the indie comics website. As a gateway for some of the UK’s best new indie titles it means they are in the ideal position to capitalise on the current boom in indie and small press publishing and have cherry picked some of the best names from the UK scene to create exclusive new tales. These include Vanguard’s Dan Butcher, Brethren Born’s Jon Laight, Merrick’s Tom Ward and many more alongside editors Pete Genepool and James McCulloch. Committees will also be boasting covers from some big names in the comic industry, with issue 1 featuring work by Glenn Fabry and issue 2 slated to feature a cover by John McCrea.
