ComixologySubmitIt’s been another outstanding year for ComiXology’s indie publishing arm Submit. With hundreds of titles published every month, there has never been a better time to publish digitally or get into reading independent digital comics. Not every great comic this year has been published by one of the big three, so in case you missed any of these great titles or would just like to find out where to start, here is our round up of the very Best of ComiXology Submit 2014.

ComixologySubmitThis week’s best of ComiXology Submit features: the second volume of King Bone Press’ awesome music themed collection Bandthology; Kara Barrett’s magical crime noir The Bargain volume 1; Gordon Rennie and PJ Holden’s mysterious Dept. of Monsterology#1 and #2; and charming kids book Sunrise #2 about a cute monster in a cape.

King_Bone_Logo_Distress_Layers_copyIn last week’s Sunday Digest we told you about a brilliant self-published indie anthology from King Bone Press called Bandthology. A collection of awesome music themed comics from a variety of talented writers and artists across the US, all with a musical/band related theme. We were keen to find out more about the story behind it, as well as the other King Bone titles (and not to mention that slightly risque name), so we contacted ‘King Bone’ himself Bobgar Ornelas as well as writer Jon Westhoff to find out the back story of this unique indie self publisher.
