As we close in on the top 10 for Indie and Small Press Comic of the Year 2018 we have a motley bunch of books that include skeletal villains, sweary superheros, 60s spaceships, fantasy adventures, flawed writers, bawdy tales and giant space cathedrals!

For their follow up to the zany Last Driver and eclectic sci-fi anthology Adventures in Science, Chris Baker and Matt Fitch have opted for an equally out of this world subject – the Apollo moon landing. Teaming up with veteran artist Mike Collins they look to tell the story of man’s first mission to the moon as only they can, but will it be out of this world or no go on lift off.

For their follow up to the gonzo world of Last Driver and the future gazing of Adventures in Science, Chris Baker and Matt Fitch of Dead Canary Comics have another out of this world story to tell, but one with a much more down to earth core to it – the Apollo moon landing. Teaming up with veteran artist Mike Collins and publisher SelfMadeHero we find out more about why the moon landing was such a landmark event that warranted being immortalised in comic book form!
