kickstarter_of_the_weekCharles is a private eye, but not just any PI – he’s a robot, and so thanks to his machine logic he struggles to comprehend the emotional complexities of the crimes of passion he is required to solve. Plus, like any good PI he does this while drinking and smoking – not because he enjoys, just because that’s what PIs do!  This is the awesome central premise of this week’s Kickstarter Of The Week – PI Charles from The Kill Screen’s Joshua Sherwell. The mix of classic crime noir with a sci-fi twist has really piqued our interest and should make this collection of 5 short stories an essential read.

Doc DinoThis week’s pick of Kickstarter sees Tom Ward (Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman) and Chris Welsh (Wart) back for another shot of getting funding for their tale of a dinosaur surgeon! “It’s a tale of emotion, treachery, backstabbing, lost love and even a little bit of kung fu” and what more can you ask for than that?!

Galaxy GirlThis week’s Kickstarter of the week is Anime-inspired intergalactic adventure Galaxy Girl (In Outer Spaaaaaaaace – which must be said in an exaggerated voice!). This hyper-coloured all-ages adventure anthology is the brainchild of Andrew Taylor who is looking to fund a limited print run and more fantastic adventures from his intergalactic crew of misfits.

MorgansOrgansCover.pngThis week’s essential Kickstarter campaign Morgan’s Organs reads like an adult version of Disney’s Inside Out and sees the little people who live inside the body of uni student Morgan, attempting to deal with a barren run in his love life. Packed full of crude humour and plenty of bodily function gags, writer Daniel Brodie and artist Robert Jennex are looking to get funding for finishing and printing the first issue of this hilarious new indie comic.

So if you were a fan of this zany tale of mythical characters on their day off and the bar in which they spend it, then be sure to check out this great project and lend your support.
